Moose Mobile's Mobile Broadband SIMs fully utilise the Optus 4G Plus network, and can provide the fastest possible speeds available on the mobile network. However, your maximum speeds will depend on your signal strength and location.
Unless you are currently using a device with a mobile SIM slot you will need to purchase a dongle. Importantly, the device you are using may be locked to the Telstra and Vodafone networks. If this is the case you will also need to purchase a device from Moose Mobile. If you have a device that is network locked to Optus, it will also work with our mobile broadband SIM.
This will depend on how many devices you need to connect to your service, and how far each device will be from the dongle. For a single user looking to use their service in conjunction with their laptop, a simple USB dongle will work best. However, if you plan to share your service with multiple people or devices via WiFi, then a WiFi dongle is better suited.
Our SIM will work in any tablet that is capable of using a SIM card. If your device is locked to the Telstra or Vodafone networks then you might run into issues and will need to unlock your device in order for it to work with our mobile broadband SIM.
This will depend on where you purchased your dongle from. Some devices can be locked to certain networks or frequencies, but a general rule is that most dongles are compatible with our SIMs. Due to the large variety of brands and model types of dongles, we are unable to provide extensive technical support if any issues do arise due to incompatibility.
Managing your data usage is easy with the Moose Mobile App. Available on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, the app displays usage statistics for multiple services on an account. Additionally, Moose Mobile sends 50%, 85%, and 100% usage notifications via SMS and email.
